My back yard week 2

This is a nice Panoramic shot of my back yard as you can see we took down the swing because we didn't want it to get ruined from all the snow we were getting. Not much has changes, my dog is always back there so you can see all the dog prints. To the left of my shed I noticed that there are a group of squirrels that are always fighting or playing. I couldn't get a picture of them. I will try next week.

    1. Hi Krista,

There is an app photosynth. (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photosynth/id430065256?mt=8) that is actually even better than the native camera panorama feature and it works on iPhone 4s (if that's what you have... also they have a Droid app too I think).

  2. A couple people have used panoramas this week and I think it really helps these blogs because it can help capture a lot more context of the environment. I look forward to seeing if you can snag a pic of the squirrels, they are elusive.

  3. James, i like the panoramic view. i have a bit of advice for next week. throw down some sunflower seeds under the tree and wait a few seconds, the squirrels will come running. you could also climb the tree and snap some pics of them, they would most likely run but that is a prime tree for climbing.

  4. If you do decide to climb the tree to get pictures of the squirrels eating nuts... I think you should videotape the whole thing... that would be an awesome David Attenborough move!

  5. So...are they fighting, or playing? If fighting, what over? Usually food or sex. Or both. Or they could be mating. Which is sort of play, I suppose, but with life and death consequences. What's the deal with squirrels? Would they be mating this time of year? When do they have their young? So many questions to which I want answers! Add some more substance to your posts and teach us something, James!
